    GATEHOUSE - is a service where counselling is offered to children, young people, parents, care-givers and other family members who have been directly affected by sexual abuse of children / young people. 

    A Counsellor is available on a Tuesday and Thursday and appointments are necessary.

    About GATEHOUSE Centre:  The Gatehouse Centre's multidisciplinary team includes highly skilled social workers, psychologists, a psychotherapist, paediatricians, forensic physicians and an administration team. These professionals work together to provide a range of assessment and treatment services for children when there are concerns of abuse.

    The Gatehouse Centre does not have the legal power to investigate concerns child abuse. This responsibility lies solely with the Department of Human Services. The Victoria Police work alongside the Department of Human Services, where appropriate, having responsibility for the criminal investigation.
