The Foundation for Young Australians
The Foundation for Young Australians is an independent national grant-making organisation, funding and working in partnership with youth-led initiatives which aim to positively contribute to young people and their communities.
Buzz Grants
Buzz is a grant round offering flexible support for young musicians, sound artists and music-related arts workers through grants of up to $2500. Buzz is a program devolved to The Foundation by the Music Board of the Australia Council. Buzz grants are a strategy of the Australian Government's Young and Emerging Artists' Initiative.
Applications for 3 March 2008 selection round is now closed.
Applications will be accepted for second round Buzz Grants until 20 October 2008.
Launch Pad Grants
Launch Pad Grants is a two-stage grant to support community development initiatives designed and delivered locally by young people based on a partnership model. Young people will work with a local community organisation to identify and prioritise local youth needs and develop an innovative and responsive initiative.
The aim of Launch Pad Grants is for young people and organisations to work together to develop and implement a creative idea that results in meaningful change with young people aged 12-25 years.
Launch Pad Grants are now closed for 2007.

Indigenous Small Grants
Funds are available for initiatives that enhance youth participation or create opportunities for the development of Indigenous young people aged 12 - 25. Applications can be made by non-profit organisations (including local government and schools).
Indigenous Small Grants are now open for 2008.
Indigenous Youth Leadership Program
The Indigenous Youth Leadership Program (IYLP) is a leadership program for young Indigenous Australians delivered by The Foundation for Young Australians. The IYLP is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST).
Up to 250 scholarships will be awarded from 2006-2009 to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander secondary and tertiary students from remote locations. The IYLP will provide selected scholars access to educational opportunities at high performing government and non-government schools.
The Spark Fund
The Spark Fund provides funding support for young people aged 12-25 years to ‘ignite an innovative idea’ which makes a positive contribution to the community and enhances their skills and experiences. Applications for the Spark Fund can be made all year, with the Selection Committee meeting three times during the year to decide on applications received.
Applications for Spark Fund are now open.
Applications will be accepted for second round Spark Fund until 30 June 2008.
A third round of the Spark Fund will be open until 22 September 2008.
Your Eyes Only
Your Eyes Only is a new creative grant opportunity for young people 12 -15 years to celebrate the strengths of their community by submitting a creative image celebrating their community through their eyes.
Successful applicants will nominate a community group working with young people in their community (for example a school, youth group or sporting group) to receive a donation. This donation would then be used by the community group to further its work by either purchasing much needed equipment or adding funds to an existing program.

Closing date for entries is 2 September 2008.
Youth Change Makers
Applications are now open for The Foundation for Young Australians Youth Change Makers grants.
Youth Change Makers is a grant round supporting young people who are advocates for change in their community, with assistance of up to $10,000 per applicant group
Individuals or small groups of young people aged 12-25 may apply for a Youth Change Maker grant. This can be done with the support of an organisation, for example, a community organisation or school, enterprise, youth group, or local government.
Applications for Youth Change Makers are now open and close 6 October 2008.
Youth Run Organisations Sustainability Grants
Youth Run Organisations Sustainability grants are a two-stage sustainability grant of up to $270,000 over three years that will be available to support youth run organisations to undertake a sustainability study to determine their needs and priorities and develop and implement a sustainability plan to achieve their goals.
Youth Run Organisations Sustainability Grants are now closed for 2008.
