    Reach Out
Safe sex refers to using some form of protection or contraception when having sex. There are a number of different types of contraception. The most effective form of contraceptive is a condom as it reduces the risk of falling pregnant and of getting a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Other forms will reduce the likelihood of pregnancy but not STI's. No matter what form of contraception you use, if you are having heterosexual sex there is always a risk that you may become pregnant. If you do become pregnant unexpectedly you may find that you have a range of emotions, like being happy, excited, scared or worried. The important thing is that you have options and there are people who can help.
